The formula is extremely complex, very long. It’s a perfume of many layers. Making this perfume became a kind of therapy for me.”
Fans have speculated that this fragrance takes its name from the first iteration of London’s exclusive Chinawhite nightclub (closed in 2008). Others suggest that it is named in reference to a certain powdery substance synonymous with afterhours and dancefloors. In typical Nasomatto fashion, we will never know. What can be said is that China White articulates a complex powdery floral with hints of pure charcoal on drydown — a stark counterpoint to Black Afgano.
The fragrance aims to uncover the treasure of a sentimental journey. It is the result of a quest to reveal the strength of fragility.
